Priority Setting and Resource Allocation Information
The Broward County HIV Health Services Planning Council (HIVPC) is responsible for the Priority Setting and Resource Allocation Process. The HIVPC’s Joint Planning Committee and Joint Priorities Committee maintain the principal roles in oversight of the PSRA process. This role includes undertaking of several key planning activities, such as identifying, gathering, and assessing data to address service priorities and gaps in the care continuum. The Joint Planning Committee identifies, collects, and assembles needs assessments, epidemiological data, emerging population data, service gaps, unmet needs, care continuum, and quality data. The Joint Priorities Committee uses data collected to make recommendations to the HIVPC regarding service priorities, language on how best to meet the need, and funding allocations. The HIVPC then reviews these recommendations, makes modifications as deemed appropriate, and sets final service category allocations.
