Substance Abuse & Mental Health Planning

BRHPC is contracted with the Department of Children & Families to facilitate the planning for substance abuse and mental health (SAMH) services in Circuit 17 (Broward County). All planning documents and activities are prepared in partnership with their leadership. A primary role is to staff all of the community-based stakeholder meetings. These are critical as they are the forums for input to the department from the perspective of consumers, family members, provider agencies, and other advocates. This past fiscal year, the Adult Mental Health Committee and the Substance Use Systems Committee merged to form the Behavioral Health Committee in order to address individuals and their needs in a more holistic manner.
