Pedestrian deaths in Central Florida and throughout the United States have spiked to approximately 6,000 fatalities a year. Pedestrians are losing their lives when they are going outside for a walk. Orange County in Orlando is advocating for change. They will be spending $15 million dollars on specific projects from signage to crossing lights to promote safer communities. This process will take time, however actions need to be taken as so many lives can be prevented from fatalities for simply just crossing the road.
